So. Voyage of the Damned in a little more than a week. What are American fan strategies to watch it in a timely manner? I noticed BBC America said they had no plans to air it anytime soon but didn't see any real concentrated campaign to harass them. Must we really resort to Bittorrent? Does Sci-Fi have plans to air it? I need to get some new Who on and just can't wait.

I must admit the advent calendar has been fun with the trailers and flash games.

This is a fandom I think I could embrace. Where are the best hangouts?

Feed my addiction!

*sigh*

Bittorrent! It should be posted within a couple of hours of its airing in the UK.

I'm still looking in on this fandom and after being burned so badly by ome in Potter fandom I'm not sure I want to go in too deeply...but....

Once I get the file from my source I'm gonn upload it and mirror it in my lj (flocked of course) for some friends to grab. Depending on connection at parents' or my house should take a couple of hours from when its done airing in uk.

Dr. Who should be coming back to SciFi sometime in March/April if previous years hold true to form. Also January 19th Torchwood is back on BBCA :) Yippeee!!!

That's my only problem with Doctor Who - the channels that air it here don't give American fans much incentive to hold off on downloading it. Since I can't do bittorrent, I'm counting on the kind folks at YouTube and Daily Motion (same way I watched the second and third seasons!).

I was going to add (and forgot) - I was just thinking last night that it would be SO awesome if NBC needed shows to fill the spring season, and borrowed Doctor Who reruns from SciFi (since GE owns both). Total pipe-dream, but it'd be a great way to build more of an American fan base and have a really good NON-reality show during the strike.

I will be obsessively hitting refresh on Christmas day until it's uploaded. I'll definitely be putting it up when I get it. Hopefully my wireless card will behave since we'll be at the in-laws.

Word of Warning: DW Fandom is TEH CRAzY. Like 40 years and 10 Doctors worth of CRAzY.

The [livejournal.com profile] who_daily updates what's on going on in LJ land. [livejournal.com profile] ihasatardis is for lol! Who macros. [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips is the best Rose/Doctor community.

And if you are missing the good old days of HP, when, if you mentioned OBHWF or that Ron and Hermione would end up together and you would immediately get yelled at, ganged up on and made to feel stupid, well then just go to [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho and mention that you like Rose.

Also, have you watched any of The Sarah Jane Adventures? Because if you haven't you need too. It's a pretty awesome show.
