A Meme I believe In: Marriage Equality

That is, until the government does the right thing and moves wholesale to Civil Unions and leaves "marriage" to religious institutions or individuals. ;)

I think I must be naïve. I don't understand why this is even an issue. I mean, if one American can get married, then why can't another? Am I missing something?
